Music lessons for refugees

We believe everyone deserves to try learning a musical instrument.

In 2024, we partnered with the Edmund Rice Centre in Mirrabooka and started providing free piano lessons to children of refugee families.

Children are referred to the program by counsellors and support workers, and come from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

Music Makers Academy is responsible for providing the music lessons as well as giving each enrolled student an instrument.

Have an instrument to donate?

We are always on the lookout for secondhand (or brand new!) electric pianos and/or keyboards. If you have an instrument you need to get rid of and wish to donate it to this project, please get in touch with us by email at hello@musicmakersacademy.com.au or by giving us a call on 0466 515 194.
