At Music Makers Academy, we offer structured music lessons for teens aged 13–18 in piano, harp, guitar, violin, flute/piccolo, and voice.

Our MezzoMuso program is designed to help young musicians not just play an instrument, but truly grow in skill, confidence, and creativity. Each student receives weekly private lessons with expert tutors, along with opportunities to perform in concerts, join extension activities like jam weeks and masterclasses, and connect with peers who share the same passion for music.

We know that music lessons are about more than just playing notes. Through our program, students:

 FAQs

  • Payments are made online via direct debit on the 1st of each month for the duration of 12 months.

  • Yes, we are experienced preparing students for AMEB examinations for both the classical and piano for leisure streams. However, we do not allow new students to do exams until at least 2 years after starting lessons.

  • Yes, it is crucial to have an instrument at home before having lessons. We strongly advise getting an acoustic, upright piano. Electric pianos do not respond to the touch in the same way that an acoustic instrument does.

  • If you are unable to attend a lesson, your tutor will film a video lesson for you, which you will receive within 48hrs.

    We require a 30 day notice for cancellation of enrolment to take effect.

  • We use the Supersonics method and app for our students. This is a comprehensive and scaffolded method, with songs that are contemporary in style, making it very accessible for students. Each song can be played along to an awesome backing track.
