April News Update

Music Makers Academy

The past few weeks have been a lively and productive time at Music Makers Academy. As we move toward the end of Term 1 and prepare for Term 2, we would like to share a few highlights from the studio and some important dates for families.

Term 1 Activity Week

From 2nd to 8th March, students took part in our Term 1 Activity Week. During this week, lessons included a variety of creative and collaborative activities designed to reinforce musical skills in a relaxed and engaging way. Students explored rhythm games, listening exercises, and small musical challenges that encouraged teamwork and curiosity. It was wonderful to see students enjoying music in new ways while continuing to build confidence and musical awareness.

Harp Eisteddfod

On 22nd March, several Music Makers Academy students participated in the Harp Eisteddfod. Taking part in events like this requires courage, preparation, and dedication, and we are very proud of the students who stepped forward to perform. Congratulations to all participants for representing the studio with commitment and musicality. Experiences like these help students develop resilience, stage confidence, and pride in their progress.

International Guitar Month

April is International Guitar Month, a time to celebrate one of the most versatile and widely loved instruments in music. At the academy, our guitar students continue to explore a wide range of styles and techniques, from classical foundations to contemporary music. It is always inspiring to see students developing their skills and discovering new possibilities on the instrument.

End of Term 1

Term 1 concludes on 5th April. We would like to thank all students and families for their commitment throughout the term. Consistent practice and steady lesson attendance have led to excellent progress across many of our programs.

Start of Term 2

Term 2 will begin on 20th April. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for another term of learning, creativity, and musical growth.

As always, we are grateful to the families who support their children’s musical journey. Music education is a long-term process, and it is encouraging to see students continue developing confidence, discipline, and enjoyment through their lessons.
