July Update: Celebrating Music, Looking Ahead to Term 3
As we wrap up a wonderful first semester of music-making, we'd like to take a moment to reflect on some recent highlights and share what's coming up next at Music Makers Academy.
A Wonderful Semester 1 Concert
Earlier this month, our students took to the stage for our Semester 1 Concert, and what an incredible afternoon it was.
From first-time performers to students who have confidently performed many times before, we were so proud to see each child share their music with family and friends. Events like these remind us that music lessons are about so much more than learning notes and rhythms. They help children develop confidence, resilience, focus, and the courage to step outside their comfort zone.
Thank you to all of our families for your support throughout the semester and for helping make the concert such a special event.
Celebrating World Music Day
On 21 June, musicians around the world celebrated World Music Day.
This annual event is a wonderful reminder of the positive impact music can have on our lives. Music brings people together, encourages creativity, improves wellbeing, and creates opportunities for self-expression at every age.
We love being part of a global community that celebrates the joy of making music.
Last Day of Term 2
Term 2 concludes on Saturday, 5 July.
We hope all of our students enjoy a well-deserved break and take some time to relax, recharge, and continue enjoying music at home.
Looking Ahead to Term 3
We're excited to welcome everyone back for another term of learning, growth, and musical achievement.

Keep the Music Going During the Holidays
Even a few minutes of playing each week can help students maintain their progress over the school holidays. Here are a few simple ideas:
Play favourite songs for family and friends
Listen to different styles of music together
Attend local music events or performances
Set aside a few short practice sessions each week
Explore new songs just for fun
Remember, consistency is more important than perfection.
Thank You
Thank you for being part of the Music Makers Academy community. We feel privileged to support so many students on their musical journey and look forward to seeing what they achieve in Term 3.
Enjoy the holidays, and we'll see you back in the studio on Monday, 20 July!
