Music Makers Academy Celebrates the Season with Christmas Concert at Padbury Hall

Music Makers Academy brought festive cheer to Padbury Hall on Sunday afternoon, 7 December, with its annual Christmas Concert, showcasing the dedication and musical growth of students across the studio.

Held at 2pm, the concert featured students of all ages performing a wide range of Christmas favourites, from traditional carols to contemporary holiday classics. Families, friends, and members of the local community gathered to celebrate a year of learning, perseverance, and musical achievement.

The program opened with harp performances, including Hark! the Herald Angels Sing, Last Christmas, and The 12 Days of Christmas, before building to ensemble pieces such as You Are My Light, performed by the Strings of Light Harp Ensemble under the direction of Music Makers Academy founder and director, Eliza Bourgault

Guitar, piano, flute, violin, and mixed-instrument duets followed, highlighting the breadth of programs offered at the academy. Students performed well-known pieces including Silent Night, White Christmas, Away in a Manger, Deck the Halls, and Carol of the Bells, with several performances accompanied by academy teachers, reinforcing the collaborative and supportive learning environment the school is known for.

A highlight of the afternoon was the whole-school ensemble performance of Jingle Bells, bringing students together on stage and drawing enthusiastic applause from the audience. The concert concluded with a relaxed afternoon tea, giving families the opportunity to connect with tutors, meet other parents, and celebrate the students’ achievements together

Music Makers Academy’s Christmas Concert marked the end of another successful year for the Joondalup-based studio, which focuses on combining high musical standards with encouragement, confidence-building, and a strong sense of community.
