Practice Pro Month Has Arrived at Music Makers Academy!
We’re thrilled to announce that May is Practice Pro Month here at Music Makers Academy!
This special month is dedicated to helping our students not just practise more, but practise better — setting them up for long-term success on their musical journey.
Throughout Practice Pro Month, our students are learning:
🎵 Why consistent and focused practice is absolutely essential for real, lasting progress.
🎵 Specific and highly effective strategies to tackle common musical challenges, such as:
Playing songs with a steady tempo from beginning to end
Memorising pieces with confidence and ease
Bringing their music to life by adding expression, dynamics, and emotion
Breaking down difficult sections and solving tricky passages more efficiently
Rather than just telling students to "practise harder," we are teaching them how to practise smarter. These tools and techniques will not only improve their playing but also build their confidence, motivation, and love for music!
The Practice Pro materials and strategies we are using were developed by Nicola Cantan of Vibrant Music Teaching, an internationally recognised leader in modern music education. Nicola’s approach is creative, engaging, and proven to help students of all ages and levels improve faster — and enjoy the process much more!

To celebrate all the hard work happening during Practice Pro Month, we’re hosting a special Online Practice Contest! 🎉
Students can log their practice time, complete small fun challenges, and submit their entries to go into the draw for some fantastic prizes! It's a great way to stay motivated and be rewarded for their commitment to learning.
Participation is open to all students, and even a small improvement in practice habits can make a huge difference. We can't wait to see everyone's efforts and celebrate their progress.
