What kind of music (songs or exercises) do you enjoy playing on the piano and why?

I like to play quick and steady pieces with staccatos and also pieces that build up to get spookiness and excitement.

What made you start learning the piano and what do you enjoy about playing it?

The first time I played was last year at a friend's house and I really enjoyed it, I was repeatedly playing JingIe Bells. At the start of this year I started with lessons. I like to learn new pieces so I can expand my piano knowledge.

What do you find are the easiest and hardest things about learning piano?

Easiest is reading and learning notes whilst the hardest is playing difficult pieces that have all these different things, such as pedalling up and down and playing flats and sharps and holding in three notes.

What is your favourite thing about piano lessons?

That I get to play piano and learn new pieces to get better!

What are some goals or pieces that you are currently working on?

Cooraclare and Full of Confidence, which are very fun pieces to play but also have some challenges. A goal would have to be to turn into the next Beethoven.

What is your proudest moment or achievement as a pianist?

Playing at my first performance was a massive achievement and I was really happy about that. Also an achievement would be getting through a piece I have worked on and playing it without any mistakes.

Awesome work, Cas!

Keep it up!
