Miadora | Harp
What is your favourite song to play on the harp, and why?
My favourite song on the harp is “See my harp” because it was the very first song I learnt to play on the harp and it made me feel so happy playing it all on my own.
What is it about the harp that you like?
My favourite thing about the harp is the sound it makes and that it’s a royal instrument. I feel like a princess every time I play the harp.
Do you prefer to play the harp by yourself, or do you like playing duets with your sister more?
I prefer playing duets with my sister more because she helps me a lot and it sounds nicer when we play together. Playing duets is a little harder though as I have to work extra hard to synchronise with my sister but it’s worth it!
Is it hard to play harp and sing at the same time?
Yes, sometimes it can get a bit tricky to sing and play the harp at the same time but I enjoy it very much as it’s more exciting being able to do both at the same time, and it sounds nicer too!
What are some pieces that you are currently working on?
I’m currently working on “Count out Loud” and practising the duet “I see the Light” together with my sister so it turns out perfect for our Rapunzel filming which we hope to get done soon.
Tell us about your mum's wedding and your music performance for the ceremony. That must have been very special!
At my parent’s wedding, I played and sang a duet “The Lord has done great things for us” together with my sister and it was the most magical moment ever. Although I was very nervous playing in front of so many people, I was so happy that I could make my parents’ wedding feel even more special, it was like a dream come true for us all.
