Molly is one of our young guitar students who since starting lessons in 2021, has completed an exam and participated in our semester recitals and even talent shows at school!
What kind of music (songs or exercises) does Molly enjoy playing and why?
Molly likes playing well known music that she recognises and likes reading the music.
What is Molly's favourite piece that she has learnt, and why?
Spanish romance because it has a really nice sound.
What does Molly find are the easiest and hardest things about learning guitar?
The easiest is tuning the guitar.
The hardest is making sure your fingers are on the right frets when learning a new piece.
What is Molly's favourite thing about her guitar lessons?
Darryn (her guitar teacher), because he is so nice and helpful.
What are some goals that Molly is currently working on?
Making sure the timing is right on her James Bond theme tune.
What is Molly's proudest moment or achievement as a guitarist?
Two awesome achievements that Molly is very proud of are passing her grade 1 exam, and standing up in front of her whole school in a talent show to perform Greensleeves.
