Senan started piano this year and enjoys playing familiar songs. He has already performed at various events including our student recitals and our community outreach concerts. Let’s find out more about Senan’s piano journey!
What kind of music (songs or exercises) do you enjoy playing on the piano and why?
I like to play short pieces that are easy to remember. I also enjoy playing famous popular songs and I would like to learn how to play a song by Queen.
What made you start learning the piano and what do you enjoy about playing it?
I thought the sound of the piano was really nice and calming. I enjoy learning new songs. What I enjoy about playing is learning the basics and building on to it.
What do you find are the easiest and hardest things about learning piano?
For me, the easiest part about learning piano is learning the notes. But the hardest thing is when I have to practise a big, long song.
What is your favourite thing about piano lessons?
My teacher Eliza.
What are some goals or pieces that you are currently working on?
I'm working on a song called Bang and starting to play songs both hands together at the same time.
What is your proudest moment or achievement as a pianist?
Learning and playing my 1st song.
