Our piano teachers

  • Flavio Colonetti

Jazz pianist Flavio Colonetti is in his fourth year of the Honours program at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). He graduated ATAR Music Dux from Churchlands Senior High School and, in 2022, performed with his jazz trio at the Perth Concert Hall for the Performing Arts Perspectives event. In 2024, he was awarded the Greg Benjamin Music Excellence Scholarship. Today, Flavio performs regularly across Perth’s music scene.

  • Charlie Thoo

Charlie is a violin and piano teacher, inspired by her mother, a professional pianist and teacher. She picked up piano at the age of 4 and soon after violin, which became her primary instrument throughout her school years. She has performed in a variety of settings, including string orchestras, musicals, solos, and chamber ensembles, with a strong foundation in classical music. In recent years, she has expanded her musical interests to include jazz and indie styles. Charlie is passionate about the impact music has, with a strong belief that music is a fundamental part of  a child’s journey in growing up. She strives to help guide her students in reaching their full potential, fostering their creativity and helping them develop technical mastery.
